Construction crisis consulting services for MENA giga projects.

Cost to Completion.

Immediately upon contract signature, the project management must interrogate the project’s cost estimate and establish the Target Budget – including any contingencies – to serve as a reference throughout the project. Errors due to estimation must be agreed to with the estimation department and set aside.

The variance between the actual expenditure versus the Target Budget released – depending on the progress of the works – is carried out on a monthly basis. Committed expenses are identified, and adjustments to the Target Budget are made based on experience gained on completed works.

The end of contract forecasts are carried out when progress has reached 20%, 50% and 80% marks. Upon completion of the project, a final income statement prepared by the project management is reconciled with the project accountancy.

CMA endorses the concept of prudence: allowances should be made for potential losses. Additional income from claims will be disregarded until formal agreement of the employer is secured.
