Construction Methods.

  • Earthmoving: Traditional load-and-haul involving excavating, hauling, dumping, spreading, compacting. For shorter distances, the use of independent equipment such as scrapers would be more economical.

  • Bridge construction: Selection of the most suitable construction method, for example balanced free cantilevering, incremental launching, precast segmental or, simply, post-tensioned precast girders. In isolated cases, advice on stay cable bridge construction is also available.

If requested, CMA is able to prepare method statements – associated with the above construction methods – comprising descriptive narratives and drawings clearly describing and identifying the means and methods to be used for construction.
