About
We are looking for a Civil, Architectural or Electromechanical Engineer with 2–3 years of practical site experience who is ready to transition from the field to an office-based role, applying their real-world construction knowledge to shape the next generation of AI-powered tools for the industry.
This is not a traditional engineering position. You will act as the bridge between actual construction challenges and digital innovation. Your deep understanding of how projects are delivered on the ground will help ensure that AI tools are practical, accurate, and genuinely useful.
You’ll work closely with engineers and the software team to pilot, evaluate, refine, and validate AI applications across contracts, claims, and planning & scheduling.
No prior AI or machine learning experience is required. What matters most is your engineering judgment, your ability to spot when something doesn’t reflect construction reality, and your passion for improving how the industry works.
Core Responsibilities
Act as the construction subject matter expert, translating site realities into product requirements, workflows, and validation criteria.
Shape and refine AI-assisted workflows to improve accuracy and reflect real project delivery.
Review AI outputs against site conditions; define where human review is required vs. reliable automation.
Test and improve tools to ensure outputs are as accurate and practical as those from experienced engineers.
Support claims: review AI-assisted narratives, validate records, and ensure contractual robustness.
Perform and validate delay analyses (time-impact, as-planned vs. as-built, windows).
Review schedules (logic, critical path, float, progress) and define automated vs. manual checks.
Analyse project data to identify trends and improve model accuracy through feedback.
Establish human-in-the-loop reviews: risk-tier outputs, apply appropriate review depth, ensure traceability, and approve before release.
Use AI to generate first drafts and analysis, with responsibility for validation and final outputs.
Run pilots with clear metrics (accuracy, time saved, rework, trust) and feed learnings back into improvements.
Promote responsible AI use: data privacy, appropriate oversight, and clear communication of limitations.
Requirements
Civil, Architectural or Electromechanical Engineering degree.
2–3 years of hands-on construction site experience (contractor or consultant side).
Strong understanding of how projects are delivered (planning, coordination, site constraints).
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and basic delay analysis concepts.
Exposure to contracts/claims (e.g., FIDIC) is a plus.
Comfortable using digital tools (Excel, dashboards, document management systems, etc.).
Curious about AI and willing to learn—no prior ML experience required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge outputs that don’t reflect reality.
Strong communication skills (explaining technical outputs to non-technical users).
What Success Looks Like
AI outputs are consistently accurate, practical, and trusted by engineers.
Clear human-in-the-loop processes are defined and adopted by teams.
Measurable improvements in time saved, reduced rework, and decision quality.
Tools evolve based on real project feedback, not theoretical assumptions.
Why This Role
Leverage your site experience in a high-impact, office-based role.
Play a key part in shaping the future of construction technology.
Work at the exciting intersection of real-world engineering and artificial intelligence.
Make a tangible difference in how construction projects are planned, executed, and managed.

➤ Why this role matters
Contract administration is no longer a support function, it’s a strategic edge. In an era of multi-billion-dollar construction projects and razor-thin margins, the ability to interpret, execute, and defend contracts is mission-critical.At Construction Management Associates (CMA), we’ve built our reputation by delivering exceptional contract administration services across the MENA region since 1999. Our clients include some of the region’s largest and most complex clients, the kind where poor contract execution isn’t just costly, it’s catastrophic.
And yet, world-class contract administrators with real construction experience are in short supply.
This is where you come in. If you’re fluent in both the legal logic of contracts and the real-world messiness of construction, this role puts you at the heart of the action, where impact isn’t theoretical. It’s measurable.
➤ When contracts go wrong: the cost of poor administration
For three consecutive years, poor contract administration has ranked among the top causes of construction disputes. When contracts fail, projects derail and reputations suffer. Our approach prevents that. We embed world-class contract administration into high-value projects to ensure obligations are met, risks are neutralized, and value is protected from day one. This is high-stakes, high-discipline work, and we only hire those who treat it as such.➤ What you’ll do
You’ll contribute to the contract lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through execution to final closeout. This means ensuring the contract is not just a static document, but a living framework that guides every commercial and operational decision. You’ll safeguard the client’s interests at every stage, proactively identifying risks, enforcing obligations, and ensuring that both the letter and the intent of the contract are honored, not occasionally, but consistently. Your role is to make sure nothing slips through the cracks, no matter how small, and that the contract remains a source of clarity, control, and leverage throughout the life of the project.➤ Key responsibilities
Draft and respond to contractual correspondence with clarity, accuracy, and strategic intent
Interpret and enforce contract terms, obligations, and deliverables
Manage execution, timelines, milestones, and commercial closeouts
Identify and flag risks early and drive mitigation proactively
Lead the preparation of quantum claims, extensions of time (analysis of construction delays, delay analysis using recognized techniques e.g. Impacted-as-Planned, Time Impact Analysis, As-built Based Methods of Analysis), and variation orders (entitlement and assessment)
Maintain airtight documentation, records, and correspondence
Act as the connective tissue between legal, commercial, and technical teams
Defend the client’s position in disputes, with facts, precision, and authority➤ We look for three things
First, we look for people with a desire to be the best in the world at what they do.Second, we look for people who have repeatedly been able to solve difficult problems.
Third, we look for people who have a collaborative spirit to build new things together as a team.
